There would be situations where the MySQL database server would crash and the following steps helps you to restore the MySQL database server \u2013<\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Login to server as a root user<\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/strong> Backup the current MySQL folder from \/var\/lib\/mysql to \/var\/lib\/backup.mysql<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 # mv \/var\/lib\/mysql \/var\/lib\/backup.mysql<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> Install MySQL 8.0<\/p>\n

# wget -c https:\/\/repo.mysql.com\/\/mysql-apt-config_0.8.13-1_all.deb<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong> Installation of update package index on your server with apt<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 # apt update<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/strong> The next step is to install default MySQL server packages<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 # apt install mysql-server<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 6<\/strong>: Shutdown MySQL server<\/p>\n

@systemctl stop mysqld<\/p>\n

Step 7:<\/strong> Copy important database folders from \/var\/lib\/backup.mysql\/<database name>\u00a0 to \/var\/lib\/mysql\/<database name><\/p>\n

Step 8:<\/strong> Copy ibdata1 file from \/var\/lib\/backup.mysql to \/var\/lib\/mysql<\/p>\n

Step 9:<\/strong> Ensure all files and folders are owned by MySQL<\/p>\n
