LAMP is a very common example of a web service<\/strong><\/a> stack that contains four components \u2013 Linux OS, Apache Web Server, MySQL Database and PHP programming language. LAMP Stack is suitable for building dynamic websites and web applications.<\/p>\n

The following command installs LAMP with a single command on Ubuntu based distro servers.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 $ sudo apt-get install lamp-server^phpmyadmin<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The one line does the installation of Apache Web Server, MySQL Database, PHP Programing language.<\/p>\n

When running this command, you will need to ensure you have proper internet access as there will several occasions when the command will try to download packages from the internet.<\/p>\n

Confirm all the downloads with a yes. The system will prompt you to setup of the MySQL root password.<\/p>\n

The system will also prompt you to if you want to configure Apache Web Server or Lighthttpd server. Choose Apache for the webserver.<\/p>\n

In the next step, you will be prompted to download the package for phpmyadmin. The phpmyadmin package must have a database installed and configured. This option can be handled with dbconfig-common. If you are not sure, please select yes for the install.<\/p>\n

During the next step, you will be prompted to setup phpmyadmin password with MySQL. You need to leave the password blank and a random strong password will be generated.<\/p>\n
