The client reached out to Velan for a solution. They were facing the following challenges in generating the profitability reports:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management Reporting Dashboard was based on Excel where the size of the file was becoming too difficult to work with.<\/li>\n<li>The reports were limited and adequate information not available for decision-making as the Practice Manager is proprietary in nature.<\/li>\n<li>Unable to build custom reports as there was no direct access to Practice Manager.<\/li>\n<li>The process of creating reports manually was tedious and time-consuming<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Solutions:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Velan BI team worked with the client\u2019s challenges, applied best practices and provided solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Design and developed a tool to extract the data from the Practice Manager and export it to Azure SQL database for reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Automation scripts were deployed to export data from Practice Manager to Azure SQL.<\/li>\n<li>Created the reports and customized them further based on the customer requirement in Power BI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Outcome:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Reports are available in the cloud and can be accessed from anywhere.<\/li>\n<li>Real-time reporting, Reports are available with a single click.<\/li>\n<li>Time to create and distribute the reports reduced by 95%.<\/li>\n<li>The management team has better insight into the data thereby enabling them to monitor and take quicker decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Able to forecast volume for the future period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Client: A Connecticut-based Accounting Firm Offering Services to Small and Medium Corporates.
